What is Pimms on its own like?  I've only had it once with lemonade.  What kind of liquor is it?

I don't think it's meant to be drunk on its own. Pimms No1 is gin-based. No3 (which you don't see anymore, maybe they stopped making it) is vodka-based. There's also a winter one with spices, which you can mix with warm apple juice or again ginger ale/ginger beer.

I must say that I quite like it.  I found a bottle of #1 in the basement of Paragon this week.  I"m going to try muddling some strawberries in it.  I found passion fruit puree at Phoon Huat and think I'll try that too.
