Sorry I am clueless but can anyone advise where I should change Sing $ into sterling? At the airport, banks here or in the UK?
Heading back tomorrow for a week and want to get the best value I can
Thanks so much

Don't try to take Sing dollars into UK as somebody may rape you and try to steal your cash. People in UK have not seen much 'real money' in a long time!

Definitely not at the airport, and definitely not in the UK - your best bet is to do it here, use one of the money changers rather than a bank though.

Money changers offer a far better deal than the banks. Initially I was pretty sceptical but they have the best rates both into and out of Sing $'s - this includes European Currencies as well as all the regional stuff.

Depends on how much you're changing. If it's not a lot, the difference may not be worth the extra trek vs. just changing at the airport.
In any case, I do most of my exchanges at Mustafa's in Little India. Very good rates, and open round the clock. If I am making a short trip to a place that's not on my usual travel roation, then I just change at the airport UOB or AMEX counters. The rates aren't as competitive as Mustafa's but not exhorbitant either.
