Remember to avoid cabbage when you are breast feeding, your baby might have tummy problems.

Cabbage soup diet is great for a quick fix but I found the re-bound weight gain was a nightmare (I did it twice and the weight piled straight back on plus more!). Really not a good way to do it. You will also feel worn out on it if you are having to get up in the night for a baby.

There are no short cuts. A drastic diet like this is folly, a complete waste of time. East less, exercise more ~ that is the only solution.

I made a nice soup last week, it was a kind of chicken and leek soup but I blended the veg (I don't like big chunks of veg) before adding cooked chicken and pearl barley - quite a nice, filling soup.
Most soups are quite good for you, so you could just make lots of them and have them on hand to snack on in the day instead of reaching for something which might not be very good for you.
The Cabbage soup diet is a bit of a faddy diet really and like a PP says, the weight will probably come back.
Eat things like porridge for breakfast and lots of soup for lunch and I think that'll help shift a few lbs

OP, do you seriously think you could stick to a blah cabbage soup routine? not to mention, i think cabbage lead to increased flatulence, as with beans.if those food cravings come back double as a result of such deprivation, you're really back to square one.
rather, as above posters say, just trying drinking soups in general. they're healthy. use lean meat or meat bones as base ... like 'chicken soup for the soul' ... add as many or few veggies as you want to the broth base ... some shredded meat of choice .... vary your soups daily from there.
you can even add some carbs like a handful of rice (rather like very watery congee), barley, a couple of cubed potatoes etc. eating less (especially sugars and carbs) after 8pm and cutting down on sugar really really helps.
if you have a teaspoonful of sugar with your coffee .. try gradually halving that. if you have a habit of munching at10pm when you're bored or sitting in front of the PC - change your habits. like perhaps think of going to bed earlier. or munch if you must, but on healthier stuff like fruit.
eat way more in the morning. and a mid-sized or even big lunch but really scale down (even if you're free) at dinnertime. rather than stuff 3 huge portions down yourself, dole the same stuff into 5 or 6 tinier portions instead, at varied intervals - much easier to metabolise.
i find you can actually train your stomach not to expect food at a certain time after a couple of days. most times we're not hungry; but just greedy, or craving some particular taste.
do more exercise on top of this. or if you hate gyms, how about trying to walk more? output>input = weight loss.
good luck!

there's a bit more to it than just cabbage soup but it is still a weird diet - you do it for 7 days and then have 2 weeks off (which is probably when the weight returns!) and you eat strange stuff like just fruit and the soup one day and then just veg and the soup another day and then loads of steak and the soup another. Diets like that are destined to fail I think.

I did the diet- though under the guise of the 'kickstart diet' it stopped my cravings, lead to very nice weight loss which I never regained even now after having a baby I'm a fairly good weight. I did the diet 3 years ago.
The soup used in the 'kickstart' version of the diet contains no cabbage. Any vege and tomato based soup will work, but i got sick of the soup so often just had stir fry veg, or veg with tomatoey pasta sauce.
If you're breastfeeding you shouldn't do the diet.

Perhaps just get off ya fat ass and exercise may be a better option or ask one of the local ladies how they manage to do it ?
Don't rely on miracle diets.
