...but you do make a valid point.

I am quite a sad and lonely person, somewhat embittered by my existence in Singapore. You see, I love to criticize Singapore and Singaporeans, but I can't bring myself to leave.

I've reached a kind of self-loathing where I try to validate my sad, pathetic life by putting down Singapore...in that way, I get a slight boost to my self-esteem.

It's not much, but posting negative posts about Singapore is all I've got in my life. If it wasn't for that, I'd probably have to hit the bottle.

I went to the airshow 2 years ago....it was OK, but the crowds were huge, and the process of getting to the grounds and getting inside was a long, drawn-out pain in the butt.

I've read that this year they've drastically reduced the number of tickets available on the public days, and introduced other measures to reduce congestion/queuing.

That is HILARIOUS....such a witty insight! Singaporeans like to queue! Wow, no-one's ever made that point before, and in such a funny way!!!  Cheesy

What is hilarious is how a topic such as an airshow suddenly becomes a platform for some people to rant against locals and Singapore.

Staying on topic - if people genuinely enjoy aviation, they'll go. If not, stay home or go to the pub and drink or do whatever you do.

It's an airshow FFS. What else do you want?

How's that worked up? Looks to me like he's just having a giggle at your lack of life that you have to be here 24/7 to prop up your confidence.

Went to see it, it was great. Not sure why the dissing above, if you're not a plane buff you're not going to like it, simple eh.

The aerial display was about an hour, the action pretty much overhead, so I doubt you woulda've seen much of the highlights if you'd been parked at Ubin or elsewhere.

There were loads of planes, choppers and drone type aircraft on display, some were available for a closer look, including the interior. And there were a lot of support chaps nearby to answer questions.

It was busy, but no massive jams whereof was spoken. Free buses to and fro, lots of taxis around, affordable drinks and food, I reckon the organisation was exemplary.

Too bad there was a technical issue with one of the Aussie planes or we could've seen that in action too, but that happens.

All in all, well done Singapore.
