Hi,

I have been scavenging the net for the past few days trying to find a decent salary guide. I found one but think it is totally ridiculous and unrealistic (e.g. .net developer - 130K+)

I am a Software Tester with over 5 years of work ex and thinking of joining a
company in Singapore.

What do you guys think should be my preliminary salary pitch?

Consider yourself lucky if you can find anything over 4k per month.   Grin

Experience does not count here, 2 basic rule applies –
1.    The earliest you can join
2.    Expected salary

Best of luck !

What industry is it - the salary varies greatly depending on the industry for basically the same job, i.e. finance pays much better than "normal" industry.

130k for .net developer is ridiculous, when we were hiring .net developers they were paid 3-5k/m depending on experience and this was before the GFC.
