As a post scriptum, with CNY here, the subject of money arose at the dinner table. As guileless kids would, some of my daughters' classmates publicised their takings in school. So I saw that as a teachable moment about discretion, competition and plain sensitivity to those who're less fortunate. Likewise, both my kids were given donation cards to collect funds for charity and I too told them the principle of what the left hand does, the right hand should not know etc etc.
My kids instinctively understood a lot, but it took a discussion for them to reflect on these life lessons out in the open.
I don't have a set curriculum but even if I did, it's what life throws out occasionally that makes the best opportunities for learning
