Has anyone tried the South African shop down Joo Chiat Road?  I've been past it on the bus but not been in yet - is it any good?  Do they sell Boer sausages?

(I won't mention names as I don't want the thread to get deleted).

very good.

And they do sell boerewors (they're not called "Boer sausages"...!!)

Need to time your visit for when they've just had a shipment come in though, otherwise can be a bit frustrating if their stock are too low.

thanks, I'll give them a try.  I'm not from SA, that's why I didn't know the correct name  Embarrassed  , but I tried them once and liked them so that's why I wondered if they sold them, but thanks for letting me know what I should call them if I go in there   Smiley

The shop is great and I use it a lot. Boerewors is usually always available and compared to the swiss butcher their wors is pretty good - they also do biltong and have all the usual SA goodies.
