Hi all,

I have been in contact with Raffles edu corp in singapore for a position as a design lecturer. The offer they have given me is SGD$ 3500.

Is this the avarage rate in singapore? I have 7 years industry experience and a masters degree.

If anyone can help me with info on the above or info on companies looking for an art director or universities or polys that are looking for a lecturer in Graphic design or visual communications, the help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Would you consider applying to local polytechnics. with your expertise and qualification, you deserve to get paid more. $3500 for a lecturer is on the low side.

The pay scale seems about right. Really depends where you have come from and what you do. My Wife was trained here, made it up to Art Director for a few International campaigns and was paid around the same for a private school.

3500 is the standard rate for design lecturers in private institutions.

Hello there,

While viewing this from afar, it is of great interest. Is the rate in discussion here based on a weekly or a monthly sum. I have been lecturing in GD for 10 years (new zealand)  and get a bit less than this per month.

In Singapore, pay is always discussed in monthly figures.  People will say stuff like "Wah, he makes $5000!" and state no time period, they invariably mean per month.
