CycleSingapore was awesome, but some guy stacked it and crashed into me  Angry.  I stayed up but it damaged my bike - the rear derailure cable sheath has been sliced through and I need a new one.

So where can I get a service?  It doesn't need to be a Giant store but they have to be able to get Giant parts and without costing an arm & a leg.

Thanks

Any bike shop I suppose...  I cannot imagine Giant having a bike repair section.

Guess you mean Giant brand rather than Giant supermarket! If so, as pp says, any local bike shop, or TEF at Thomson Rd, Treknology at Tanglin, other places in Bukit Timah Rd.

Thanks for the ideas.  Being new in country I didn't even think of the "Giant" supermarket but I now remember seeing an add and thinking it was the same name as the brand of my bike.

Yes, it is a Giant brand bike not from the supermarket.  A good quality road bike worth a few thousand dollars - built for speed and I want to keep it that way.  The stack just robbed me of breaking the 35kph average for the 40K (34.47 average).

There are about 3 or 4 bike repair shops down Joo Chiat Rd but if you don't live near there they won't be convenient for you.

Plenty of places, where do you live?

Places on Bukit Timah near 4th ave, sell specialized mainly but will service your Giant.  Another nearby next to sixth ave as well.  More on upper bukit timah near toh tuck road.

Got mine done at a shop corner of pasir panjang and clementi road.  I think there are some around siglap as well if you are on the east.

In any case, plenty of options and it doesn't need to be a Giant dealer.

Thanks for all the replies.  I am living in Dover so Clementi would be good.  I have only been in Singapore 5 weeks so will search the answers for what is close.

I might try to ride to the shop then do some shopping while I wait.

Andrew.

Singapore's sole Giant importer is somewhere in Tampines...try a google; can't remember the name offhand...
