Dover Parkview - any tips?

I have just moved into Dover Parkview, and was after any tips for living here?

I found the way through the carpark to the XO hawker centre and the rear door to fairprice, but am after other tips.

I think the quickest way to work (at Dhoby Ghaut) is the 106, but the 14 bus or walking to Buena Vista are other options.  Heading to Raffles place MRT I catch a bus to C'Wealth station.

Also my children (aged almost 9 and almost 11) will be here in a few weeks.  What is good for children of this age?
