Anyone have any ideas about how or where to rent the big chinese lanterns like the ones displayed at the Chinese Garden during the Mid-Autumn festival?

Thanks in advance...  Wink

In past years the "owners" of the Chinese Garden brought in craftspeople from China to make the custom designed lanterns.  By the time the Lantern Festival was over the lanterns were falling apart.

Maybe someone from the Lantern Festival or a Chinatown association could direct you.

on New Bridge Road, sort of opposite the Sri Mariammam Temple, there is a shop that sells lots of different sizes of lanterns. You might want to ask in there if they can order something like that for you.
