Why are you buying for them? surely it's the other way round?

I heard that they are. But whether they are or not,I'd still like to give them something.
Any suggestions?

In the UK you'e invite everyone out for a farewell drink and put some money or a credit card with the bar to serve drinks to your (soon to be) former colleagues. I guess some variation on that theme might work here.

I'd buy drinks for colleagues who are also friends. For the more casual fellow-workers, I'd suggest walking around the office to distribute bags of chocolates or sweets. Cookies or pies may work too - but you'd need a big bag for 100 colleagues!!
I've also seen people leaving token gifts such as pens or bookmarks with personal notes for their colleagues - but you may want to reserve them for the people you know well.
Hope this helps.

Or leave the chocolates or cookies by the coffee machine/coffee area (if you have one) at the office with a small thank you/farewell note attached, so that everyone can help themselves.
And invite the colleagues who are also friends for drinks/farewell dinner with your other friends. We have left many places in the past and always organized a farewell drinks or dinner for our group of friends and closest colleauges with their partners. It is a nice ritual and makes the moving a bit easier...

The type of "gift" depends on whether you like them or not
