Expelling 10% or PR's ?   I havent heard of that.  Please expand and tell me where to find the article.   I doubt they would get rid of PR's when they are trying to boost the population to 6.5 million for goodness sakes.

I think you need to read the news more often...

Another thing about rentals, the only way they would seriously go up is another en-bloc boom like 2007. With the new property regulations in force, I don't think there is much chance for en-blocs to go through. Not with the prices they are asking.

This place is good for a long long time.  Prices will be rock solid and more likely to grow.
They wont get rid of us expats or PR's because they need the population to grow - thats a well known fact.
