a night at OT to admire the scenery and to hang out with other expats rather than just sit at home doing solitary.

Not sure the expats that 'hang out at OT' are the types of expats you really want to spend time with..........but then, if you'd even consider spending time there then you'll probably fit right in  Roll Eyes

Good grief ! You really are twisted !

Are you telling me that the expats who go there are 'bad' expats ?

I bet the majority of male expats in singapore has been there at least one time or other even just to hang out and meet other expats or just go to check it out for a laugh.

I am single and I answer to nobody, so save your preaching please.

I will go where I like.

So save your holier than thou drone.

You sound like a lonely, bitter, twisted man-hating western female expat with a huge chip on her shoulder.

Save your feministic rubbish and man bashing for when you go home.

I must admit, I am looking forward to coming to asia.

Well done! You're not even here yet, and still you can quote verbatim from the script: "lonely, bitter, twisted man-hating western female expat with a huge chip on her shoulder."

yeah, but watch out in OT, a few scams go on there.  I know a guy who got accused of touching a girl up in there (he'd spoken to her and that was all) and before he knew where he was he was forking out a bribe to the club to keep them from having him arrested.

No, I know I am not quite there yet, I just dont like man haters. The UK is full of them.  One of them even wants to run for labour leadership.

So, someone who thinks it's sad to hang out with prostitutes and ultimately pay a hooker for sex is a 'man hater'? Really?

Get over yourself, Fatty. No one really cares what you decide to do with your time when you're here. But if you're going to post your intentions on a public message board, you're going to have to grow a thicker skin. Either that or just get on with it and shut up about it if you can't handle the commentary.

How do you expect other people to accept you when you can't accept yourself? You lie to impress because you can't face yourself. You can't take negative comments and you learn nothing from them.

Your last relationship failed. All your relationships will continue to fail until you grow up.

I hope you will make enough to afford all the alimonies you will end up paying one day.

Fatty boy is looking for a brand new start in Singapore - why the need to be critical and judgmental ?!  Aren't we all excited about going to a new place and getting to know people?

Fatty - Chinatown or East Coast is fine.  It's more crowded in Chinatown but if you're looking to meet people, it's a convenient location because it is in the city.

I hope you'll have a great time here.

Singapore , here we (I)come.

Fatty and his suitcase will be there in a weeks time and can't wait.

Being single and working in asia is going to be amazing.

Goodbye London  !

I lived on the east coast last time and loved it.  Used to go running in the east coast park each morning for a jog or a cycle.

Fatty Boy you'll love it, great scene for singles, tons of attractive locals looking for Mr Right (you can play hard to get), this is good as the Western girls and Aussies and NZers have to work hard to compete ! Sadly as noted many girls here will see you as a cheque book and/or their exit ticket but if that means you are dating tons of cute girls who really cares. Local girls do see a western boyfriend as a status symbol plus they generally make more money than the local guys. Skip the hookers, not worth the risk and less fun that the real thing anyway.

PS I know guys 10 years your senior having a great time here, 30's are better party years than the 20's when you have less money.

worse parties in your 20's = no friends

I love it when people come into more money and think they are the height of cool.

20s can be better party years and more real = when you're less jaded and cynical (even when there is less money)

Money does not  = sincerity, true friends or relationships with any depth.
