To no idea:
Yes, these are absolutely darlings. VERY good for the environment, and very neat in the refirgerator. Cheers.

Here's my paper towel substitute, along the same line as "Cotton Bags":
Go to your local wet market and buy a bundle of terry cloths - the ones that have "Good Morning" printed on them - from the general grocers. Wash and dry them and use them for whatever you would use paper towel for, including wrapping vegetables from the market. Throw the cloths in the wash with your other laundry.
An occasional soak in NapiSan brings them back to life.

A cheaper alternative for your intended uses - used newspaper.

I used to use old newspaper before cotton bags. The newspaper print tended to dirty the vegetables and refrigerator when moisture set in.

Looks for SKP outlets. Look for their locations on the internet.
They sell party wares, plastic and paper products. Paper bags (for sandwiches and even those like the ones from Starbucks) can be found in various sizes, usually in packs of 50.

The shop on 3rd or 4th floor of the Verge (former Tekka Mall) sells the brown paper bags (along with party stuff).
