Are there any restaurants at all on this island that make their own chips instead of frying up the frozen things?

Everywhere I go they use frozen chips.  Brewerkz chips are OK but I'm still suspicious that they're frozen chips, although with the skin on to make them look more like fresh.

There used to be a chippy down at Siglap but sadly he's shut up shop now - that was the only place I know of that has ever peeled and fried fresh spuds to make chips.

I think Spruce does their own.

Maybe Bedrock and Overeasy might too.

but they're not very nice. Undercooked in oil that's not hot enough.

They do good chips at Picotin in Turf Club Road. Chunky and crispy, just the way I like them. They also do the stringy thin french fries so make sure you are clear what you want.
