Kubes & gang - we hear what you have to say. We know your grouses with the local media and the government. We hear you loud and clear. The message has been sent. Do you need to keep doing this? It is getting very irritating.

So what your saying is we should keep our views to our self while people unrealistically talk this place up?

redacted - the whole post is about moderation. God knows, there are enough binary people here - yes or no, up or down, true or false, you are either with me or against me.

State your views once in a while.  But do we have to plug at it all the time? The glass can be half full or half empty (and we can put a spin either way), but I prefer to focus on the fact that the glass is sitting precariously with half its base outside the table and is about to fall off.

Let me quote what I said in the original post:

Doing it once is refreshing. Doing if every now and then is tolerable. But plugging at it day in and day out, hijacking innocent topics to rubbish Singapore - I think you guys are over-doing it.

That's all my friends......

In a nutshell methinks that Singaporeans complain too much.

If this forum is a reliable reflection and indicator of expat behaviour, I think Singaporeans come a distant second to expats.

 Wink

Perhaps you will want to try STOMP then....

As to moderation, the majority of your post was directed to the so called "critics".  This is not moderate.

You are right - majority are directed at so-called critics, but that is exactly the point. I felt they are overboard, and given my views as stated in the first post in this thread, I tried to present the other side of the coin. I think it will be more correct to say I post when I have alternate views - I guess the same goes for anyone here. More so if I think the other party is wrong on fact or interpretation.  Vulcanl can hardly be classified as a critic, but I do take him on when I think he's wrong. And the least I can do is to say that V is gracious enough to admit it when he realized that he is wrong. I do agree with some of Kubes' posts and reasoning.

STOMP is tabloid trash - don't intend to go there.

As I said before, let's agree to disagree agreeably.
