Hi all,
I have been a silent follower of this forum and several others which advice about singapore jobs and visa's. I have a few questions about the two types of visa's mentioned.
My question is Can I apply for both at the same time? I have qualifications from a university which is recognized for EPEC grant. But I wanted to apply for LPR as well but have herad that it might take some time to get finalized (granted or refused) because of the current situtaion. Say if I apply for LPR first, will it reduce my chnaces of been given EPEC or vice versa?

Thanks heaps,
Majorprob

Hi,

Yes you apply for both at the same time, because:

PEP is given by MOM
LPR is given by the ICA

Both have their own agenda. I read about a guy who applied form both and got it both

Thanks for your reply. But I was talking about EPEC- Employment Pass Eligibility Certificate, not PEP. I think PEP is some type of EP. I am a fresh Graduate and wanted to look for jobs in Singapore, hence wanted to know which is a better route -EPEC or LPR.

EPEC and LPR are not related but since you graduated from one of the listed universities go ahead and give it a try there's no processing fee.but LPR i think you likely to pay around 1.5k and it's based on your own merit.. quite risky

good luck!

sorry!

I meant EPEC intstead of PEP. Anyway, both are given by MOM, so both can be applied for at the same time as the LPR.

Yesterday there was a guy approved for LPR after 3 months and 2 weeks, it is possible!

Hi all,

Just wanted to know if we come to Singapore on EPEC and find a job.
Will the EPEC get converted into an EP...

What is the exact criteria to get a EPEC
Education qualifications , Previous Salary .. ,etc

I am from India and have 3 + yrs of exp in an IT MNC here ..
what are my chances of getting an EPEC and if i get one ... what are my employment chances in Singapore
