Kubes,

I'm busy in real life.  I will get back to you and examine the scientific points that you raise (such as they are).  In the mean-time, you might enjoy this Wink

BM2, JP;

Before you click this link, try to come up with a new way to scare people about man-made global warming.  A scare that will have our kiddies so spooked they can't sleep, and one that even Disney could take on as a sequel to scare the whole world.  Make sure you state that there is a direct link to the carbon-criminals who drive a car or switch on a light bulb, and this looming catasrophy.

Have you got the scare identified?  OK.  Now you can click the link.

Here is another great idea for saving the planet.  Not only does it reduce CO2 from decomposing bodies it also reduces the bodies from becoming a fossil fuel in the future.  Impressive to see how money can attract the biggest brains.

'Ecological' plan sees dead put down the toilet

July 08, 2010 2:28PM

UNDERTAKERS could dissolve corpses in chemicals then flush the remains into the sewage system under plans being studied by European bureaucrats.

The controversial method has been hailed as a much more ecologically sound method of dealing with the dead.

But critics have branded the procedure, driven by a Scottish company, as "disturbing" and claim it shows no respect for the recently departed.

The process is called chemical hydrolysis and has been used in the destruction of cattle found to have mad cow disease.

The body is placed in a silk bag, itself placed within a metal cage frame. This is then loaded into a Resomator.

The machine is filled with a mixture of water and potassium hydroxide, and set to 180C.

The end result is a small quantity of green-brown liquid containing amino acids, peptides, sugars and salts.

Soft, porous white bone remains are easily crushed, and can then be returned to the next of kin.

The liquid can be recycled back to the ecosystem by being applied to a memorial garden or forest or simply put into the sewage system.

Sandy Sullivan, managing director of Resomation, said:

"(People) like the environmental benefits and the thought of going the water route, as opposed to burial or fire."

JP, BM2:   I don't think this letter to the editor is from either of you, but I would like to check.  Is it?  As you can see there is no limit to gross stupidity of some well meaning people.

Letter: Shake and bake

With the recent, devastating earthquake in Haiti, quickly followed by others in Baja California, Sumatra, Chile and even more recently along the California-Mexican border, can there still be any doubt about global warming? With these events even the most jaded skeptic will have to admit that global warming is a real and genuine menace.

Awake before it is too late. Unless we take action now the big one is just around the corner. Don't doubt global warming.

— Hugh G. Campbell, Chico

Well I am a skeptic that mankind is providing any meaningful contribution to global warming.

Climate change - Cube's culture of convincing, coaxing, coercion, condescension and confrontation (when all else fails).

It has been about 3 weeks since BM2, a student of science, posted a cartoon.  It has been even longer since Jalanperak, a qualified and credential scientist, posted on this thread.  The sad and frustrating truth is that just like Al Gore, they won't step and debate the science, the evidence or the facts and try to defend their belief in Man-made Global Warming.  Good science is about sceptism, debate, argument, observable evidence and scientific method.  But just like their Global Warming Alarmist idols they are too gutless and weak to do any of those things and respond the key questions I have posed.

If you disagree with the observable evidence and science that Climate Change is a natural cycle, and believe man-kind's CO2 emissions are the cause, then step up and support your belief.  If what I have presented here, and your own research to try to refute what I have said has resulted in your changing your belief towards what the evidence shows, then grow some balls, man-up and tell us.   Don't just run away and hide.

As John Maynard Keynes once famously said:  "When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do, sir?"

Just postulating, but perhaps they have a life to deal with and aren't OCD?

Junie, actually Jalanperak started it.  But he is too gutless to finish it.

Yep it is probably my biggest hot button given the consequence of letting these bastards get away with the greatest ever fraud on mankind..  So I jumped at the opportunity to have a robust debate with a real scientist (his words) with his inference that my ability to understand, analyze and deduce was inferior his.

What has happened in this little debate is the classic AGW vs Skeptic scenario.  The AGWist makes outrageous claims that sound complex, scientific and apocalyptic (all of which can only be fixed with trillions of dollars), and skeptic then rips the stupid theories and claims to shreds with actual science, observable evidence, and rational thought.  The AGWist then just drifts away, won't engage.  It's pathetic.  It's gutless.  These fraudsters need to be hounded for how they nearly completely destroyed the world's economy, humankinds' quality of life or emergence from poverty.

OCD?  Nope.   Just passionate.
