I have been reading with interest on this site a great deal of posts from people who were expats in Singapore, returned to their home country and then back to Singapore.

I was in Singapore (and other Asian countries prior) and left in 2005/6.  My wife and I really miss Asia, and in particular Singapore. I have no chance to return to Singapore with my present employer. I am wondering if anyone else out there returned to Singapore after successfully gaining employment themselves without a company transfer?  Were there any specific head hunters/did anyone retain a search company on their behalf? Is the job market improving?

I am a CFO/COO with regional/global experience (17 years exp) with a top tier MBA.

Genuine and sensible replys if possible!

You specified "Genuine and sensible replys [sic] if possible" but this board is mainly for letting off steam and insulting others so no sensible advice is offred!!
