When you start a thread you appear to believe you own it and hence dictate the rules.

You didn't start this one, uhohh gets to decide (this is stupid but at least practice what you preach).

Vulcan

I will when you do, what a child.

You put your money where your mouth is, you know Kubes will never do this so it is just you refusing to back yourself.

Why don't you say, I will when you back yourself and leave for Australia.

No I thought not.

In any case the idea you would take a citzenship because an anonymous internet poster you never met and thinks you are an idiot does is so dim it beggars belief even from you.

Sad cop out from a perpetual LOSER.

There you go again Vulchan. Please, do us all a favor and give up your US passport and become some other citizen of some other country. Will anyone take Vulchan besides Singapore? We don't want you back in the US. Some here tend to think that you are anti-US. I have a several hunderd acre farm in the country and will be fishing and hunting with my "Illiterate and Redneck Mississippi and  Louisiana countryfolk. You can live in your HDB, go to the hawker center ,spit on the floor, pick your nose and perform other sickening behaviors in your paradise while we struggle in the "real world". By the way, Hello Kubes - You are still the man and I intend to have a beer with you some day and shoot the shit.

Yep Vulcan, them damned yankees don't know nothing about the sheer joy of livin' in pigeon holes, but you know better! Think of the superb views in them opposite apartments, be it  a toilet, bedroom or whatever, nuthin' comes close! Them blokes are jus too green with envy at your HDB apartment, they're gettin' pretty costly aren't they? Bet you will be a millionaire soon at the rate they are rising! Cheesy

VV,

"...Some here tend to think that you are anti-US..."

Most certainly not due to anything I have posted.  You know, the US Constitution and Bill of Rights grants me the authority to speak my mind about the sad state of affairs in America at the moment.  I am exercising those rights granted to me as a citizen.  It is those that would question one's patriotism based on valid critiques of the government who are the real enemies of our country!

For wondering out aloud, 100K foreign workers/talents or whatever being needed, wouldn't GNP be a better measure of real growth than GDP? That begs the question that I hardly read any reports on GNP in the media, though I have private access to them. Huh

Hmmm, just to elaborate on the a/m

GNP = GDP – income earned by foreigners in country + income earned by          citizens abroad.

An example: Suppose a Foreigner comes to Singapore to open an integrated resort. He makes $100 million but he only has to pay $1 million to the Singapore government for a license and another $1 million as misc costs to get that license.

The full $100 million will count towards Singapore’s GDP but only the $2 million (Government’s + fees) will count towards Singapore’s GNP.
Now you see the diff between GDP and GNP. Economic growth is better reflected through GNP. Cool
