Hi,  I would like to hear feed back on Hong Kong disneyland.

Did you buy your tickets online?  I hear breakfast with the disney characters is a must do.  Do I need to buy separate coupons/tickets for the breakfast experience or is breakfast included in our hotel room rate?  I am sure it is a wonderful experience for the kids .... is there anything else I need to take into consideration (besides the obvious).  Thanks.

When you book your hotel, you will usually get a package deal.  We stayed at the Hollywood hotel for one night and I think got a Stay 2 day ticket deal.  So we checked in, went to the park, stayed the night and went to the park the next day.  Breakfast is not included, is quite expensive but is an amazing buffet with Mickey shaped pancakes etc.  THe breakfast with the characters is in the Disney Hotel rather than the Hollywood - we didn't do that but we did bump into Goofy in our lobby.

We wished we'd stayed at the hotel another night instead of in Hong Kong itself as it was so nice.  We were there in November which was quite cold for swimming though, so if you are going earlier, it's great to make use of the pool and slide etc.

There are two breakfasts with the characters.

There is the buffet at the more expensive hotel, another chinese breakfast inside the park which is less good but ok and you get in early. Used to be a buffet as well but isn't anymore.

The hotel one is a must, the other one is nice enough but just ok.

In the hotel it is the big characters (mickey, minnie, pluto etc), in the park it is mulan, chip and dale and a couple of others.

Hi-
Looking to go in November.  How many days/nights should we plan to stay (with two kids).  Any advice or tips from those who went and survived ?  Have been to Disney World previously (before kids) and  am not a fan of theme parks, but of course the kids are thrilled.

2 days should suffice, can do in 1 but be a rush.

Check your dates as well and try and make the halloween special.

HK disneyland is so small you can cover in one day.

Not much else to do near hotel apart from Disneyland, so stay in town if you want to see the hk scene too

I have been to HK Disney a few times and I used to live in HK. When we go, this is what we do. Stay in HK for 2/3 days and go shopping etc. Then we move to HK Disney and stay for 2 nights/3 days. Yes the park is small but there is loads to do at the park and at the hotel. We stay at the HK Disneyland Hotel and that in itself needs a day (pool/ restaurants with stars/ club floor/ kids room/ Disney dress- up- parlour/ The Maze) and general chilling out.

I love HK Disney and to do it over a few days relaxed and chilled out is great. I know HK expats who go there a few times a year and stay 2-3 nights per stay. For me, HK Disney wins every time over Universal Studios. I know that some people think HK Disney is lame but for me, my 2 kids LOVE it and as a result we have a really great and relaxing time there.
