We recently visited SAS and could not believe the arrogance. You would think we were doing them a favor by coming to the school

We are new to Singapore and I know all of these schools have wait lists, but some level of customer service would be nice!

Can you be more specific about this?  Perhaps some examples that gave you this impression?  If you visited recently were you aware that school has just started and perhaps teachers were busy preparing for or even teaching current students?
Anyway, you've made a broad statement without any supporting information.  Could you share more?

I completely agree.  We toured UWC, SAS and SAIS in late July and SAIS was the only one that seemed excited to have our child attend.  Both with UWC and SAS, it was like they already knew that we would want our child to attend and put forth minimal effort.  UWC didn't even introduce themselves, just went immediately into how long the waitlist was.  It doesn't matter if they are only in admissions, they are representing the school and it was an immediate turnoff.

In my opinion, the first impression you get from the school is quite important. If the admission officer is snobbish, does not care, has not a good attitude, that does not speak well for the school. It's the first person you see in the new school, if she does not do a good job, the teachers also may not. Is it not the same HR department or the same principal who hires him/her? Probably he does not care much about how she relates to people.Conversely he may not care how the teachers relate to the kids.
I dont' know in this specific case, just general thoughts.

I don't know about the current admissions staff, but I can say that all the teachers, assistants, administrators etc that we have worked with have been very professional and done a good job.  I don't think that whatever is being perceived of the admissions office carries through the rest of the school-atleast not the primary and intermediate schools.

We also had this first same impression at UWC. The long waitlists etc....we waited 2 years... teachers focus on brainwashing the students and parents how good UWC is. It gets really annoying after a while. Teachers repeatedly say that they are the best and the school is the best. Utter rubbish.

The class size of a good school should be 17 max. That's how it was many years ago. As time goes on the class size at UWC keep increasing and so do the fees. why? to increase revenue? Why not build more schools? Okay one new one but it it still not enough for Singapore.

UWC kick out average students at High school. No chance is given to sit exams. Out.  Will it reflect in their bad teaching? or dumb kids?  I think UWC is going DOWN and their schools are getting to be like big supermarkets and don't offer quality with the product. Who is going to tell the truth on surveys if you have your name on it!
Finally UWC focus too much on community service programme which sucks!

I think a few thousand families disagree with you on this one.   As to fees, outside of computer equipment is there anything whose price is going down?  Movie tickets, doctors, postage?  None that I can think of.  You might also consider that increasing class size holds down tuition increases.
Why would you want UWC to build more schools if you don't like the 1.5 they operate now?
Finally, community service learning is a growing component of schools around the world.  There are schools that don't offer this.  Maybe you'd be happier at one of those?

Yes, maybe take a few deep breathes.
