Belive there is a wholesale priced butchers here but cant seem to find the address.  I am not looking for places like the Swiss or Aus butchers where it costs a small fortune.  THere is apparently a place out of centre of town area that has very good priced meat

Anyone know?Huh?

Thanks

QB = frozen food = poor quality

The prices are expensive because you are paying for fresh meat.

QB has fresh meat as well as frozen. if you go to the store. The fresh meat is not on their website though. It is about half the price of cold storage.  Don't go on a Saturday though as it is packed. If you want cheap frozen meat you can also try Ben Foods.

I recently discovered Hubers' store in Dempsey and I have to say that the prices are not that high.  I bought lamb at the same price there as the lamb I bought at Tikka market where the hygiene and surroundings are atrocius.  Go, have a look.

QB sells the same brand fresh Aussie tenderloin as Cold Storage, in fact I think they might be CS's supplier, not sure. The whole fillet is in the same vacuum packing. Ben Foods is even cheaper and again sells chilled Aussie beef, but it's only open on Saturdays.

QB has other stuff too.

Can't agree about Huber's, I think it's hugely expensive and not actually very good. I get frustrated that their chicken products (ie marinaded kebabs, cordon bleu etc) aren't made with hormone free chicken. In fairness I haven't asked if they'd make it to order, but I hate to think how much it'd cost.

That said, I wouldn't buy the frozen meat there. Nor in CS.

I ordered from QB online a couple times and then figured out I could go in the store on Chin Bee Crescent and tell the butcher what I wanted.  I ended up buying other things as well because he could tell me what I could do with them.  I over looked the same items when I shopped online.  I heard they are Cold Storage's supplier also.  The price was definitely better.
