I want to organise a facial etc for my mid teens daughter for her birthday and wondered if anyone has any suggestions as to a good place to go.

I don't want anywhere too fancy or expensive, but somewhere nice that they will advise her on looking after her skin without trying to sell her loads of products.

Any ideas appreciated. Tks

Good for you for encouraging your daughter to look after her skin. I must say that my mother taught me about skincare from an early age and at 41 I am pretty pleased with my skin as a result of looking after it.

Back to the Q. Your daughter has young skin so perhaps somewhere where the products are not too harsh e.g. one that uses Dermalogica or organic products?

I tell you what would be really nice for her. Why not take her to the Spa on Sentosa (the one that sounds like the botanical gardens) and you go too. You get to use the pools, mud bath and chill there all day, have lunch and you can book an outside pavilion for an extra 60 bucks and have a jacuzzi etc. Spa's are great but they are even better with a companion.

Ha!  The spas sound great, but probably out of my budget.  I too, wanted to do something similar with my daughter, possibly ending with a makeover.  Gonna watch this thread.

they do a nice facial for kids/teenagers at Sylvie's Secret, King's Arcade (King's Road). My daughter, who is only 7, got her first one a few months back because she started to get her first pimples. The result was fabulous and if you ask for the Vietnamese therapist, she is great with kids too. Good luck!

Many thanks for the replies and suggestions.

The spa at Sentosa sounds wonderful, but probably also a bit expensive for a teenagers first facial.  I will bear it in mind for a special occasion perhaps when she is older (or for myself!).

I will look into Syvlis's Secrets - thanks for that - probably more in line with what I'm after.

Any other suggestions?
