We will be traveling to China in the next couple weeks and I need to get a visa for my 3yo son (my husband and I already have one).  When we lived in Hong Kong there were tons of travel agencies I could take our passports to and fill out some paperwork.  Are there any that offer the same services here?  My son has a US passport. We have only been here a few months so I am still learning how things work here.

It's just as easy to go the Embassy on Tanglin Road and do it yourself as to go to an agent.  You can download the forms from the internet and complete them - remember you will need a passport photo and a photocopy of the Singapore green card.  Processing time is 2-4 days depending on the level of service you request.  It used to be a lengthy process but they have streamlined it considerably and now a visit takes no more than an hour.

Took ours into the Visa processing place  at 22 Malacca Street.  You could actually book an appointment on line - see link below.  Only had to wait about 10 minute for our turn to hand them in.  Took them in on Monday and collected them on Thursday morning (must pay cash).  You can the visas done in 2 days, but it costs you more.  Pick up took 2 minutes.

As PP said, you can download the forms and need a passport photos and photocopy of green card (both back and front).  You will also need details of your entry and exit flights and where you are staying.
