We are back to Singapore (3rd time).  The first 2 times I used a gynecologist in Mt. E., she delivered my babies etc.  However, this time I would like to find someone else.  Do you have any good recommendations?

Thanks!

TC chang at Thomson. I don't like Thomson MC, but I love TC Chang. He delivered my daughter (at Mt E), then I tried Shirin Jacobs at A Company for Women (on the advice of a friend) for a couple of years (being a female doctor etc), and she turned out to be a complete and utter nutter, so I switched back to TC and I couldn't be happier. He is an absolute sweetheart and you would be in good hands. Paul Seng on 2nd floor of TMC above TC is apparently very good too.

... WK Tan - Also Thomson Medical.

IF she is still practising. She must be getting on in years now, and may be retired.

I used her years ago, and was impressed with her bedside manners, patience and extensive knowledge. She is caring, and well-versed with medical practices abroad too.
After-care (ie on top of just taking good care of the patient post-treatment ... her thougthful blend-in and thorough records for your home country etc etc are impressive gestures too.

I can't say the same for my doctor/s back home

My home country doctors marvelled at this neat surgery she did ... where she thoughtfully went one step further and actually pre-empted a common problem from happening again.

I don't like Mt E (find them overhyped) in general.

I went to Esther Ng on Tanjong Katong Rd for a PAP smear, but I've never used her for anything else.  I did like her though, she was a very nice lady - I'll go to her again next time.  It's a bit weird though, they only take cash, no cards, so you'd need to check how much your treatment/consultation is going to cost when you make the appointment (they might take cheques though, I didn't ask).

Thank you for your replies.  I remembered that there was a very good and 'famous' male gynecologist at Thomson MC but could not rmember his name.

How mt e is overhyped, ok there is the hospital but most of the doctors are independent just renting space.

Anyway op, may be same person but if not yeo swee choo (sp?) Is good.

Yes, I have, I went for a PAP smear when we'd just moved here - it cost a small fortune (about $250) and I had to wait for ages to be seen (over an hour) although I had an appointment (the doctor was on delivery duty so I had to sit there and wait for her).  I wasn't impressed with Raffles gynae after that, not because she was on delivery duty but because the desk staff didn't explain or apologise about the wait and it wasn't until I asked that they told me why it was taking so long.

That's why I changed to Dr Ng mentioned above.

To add to the pp who has seen TC and P Tseng, my children were delivered by those doctors and I thought they were excellent. Absolutely no concerns about them being male (Please grow up 'carefu;l', jaysus...) I continue to see TC for gynea consults.

also tried raffles gynae care when we first moved here, was my first appt here because I arrived pregnant. Had same experience as previous poster, hopeless front desk staff, doctor 2 hours late, no explanation, no apology, nothing. Just had to bask in the anticipated arrival of the doctor who was revered like a god. Was unimpressed and never set foot in the place again, or RH unfortunately.

dont see:  Yes, same one.  I was a patient of dr. yeo for many years.  I was quite happy with her.  However, she can be quite blunt sometimes and not very considerate of the patient's feelings etc.  She was also very busy, so most of the time the appointments run late, sometimes the waiting time was more than an hour.  On the other hand, she knows me and my history, she operated me twice and so on...

Hospital was nothing special but thought Anne Hagerty was incredible!  Yes, she's very busy, can wait for ages etc., but thought she was the best of the 4 obstetricians that I've used by quite some margin.  Was a bit apprehensive at first because heard that she likes medicated births etc, but was totally supportive when I said that my first 3 were natural, no pain relief etc. Some consider her blunt, but I like to know where I stand and would rather nit have things sugar coated. Her experience really showed at the actual delivery, 2 pushes and we had our baby - no tears, no stitches so was out and about less than 48 hours after the birth.  Worth every minute in the waiting room,
