10 things I don't like seeing maids doing

Yep, mine is 52 and I can't see there would ever be any desire there on his part 

But then I never bugger off for the whole summer either. Don't get why so many women do that. I don't want to be away from my husband for 2 months plus and I certainly don't think it's normal or healthy for the kids to be away from their dad all summer, every summer either. I really don't feel the need to pretend I live somewhere else - this is home and we treat it as such.

Sure, plenty of women in their early 50s who look great - no doubt I've seen quite a few. However, I can't say I've ever run across a filipina maid in her 50s who looks anything less than grandmotherly in a weirdo sort of way. Sure, they may still try and dress like tarts on Sunday for their day off but they also have packed on the pounds and are more of a size 24 than a 6 and tend to do things like dye their hair some color bordering on shocking orange on a regular basis. But, to each their own & all

I think the previous comments about expat wives was being aimed at aussie, uk, european, US expats as asian women keep their bodies in much better shape and don't blow out so their men would be less inclined to have sex with the maid. The expat men from the above regions would have much more incentive to stray as women from those regions never have very good bodies after 35 yrs of age.

Have to agree that western expat women do blow out......if i was married man it would be incentive enough for me.

Show me one expat woman with a good body and i will show you 500 expat women with bodies that have blown out.

I would say maids are getting the best of both worlds......and the expat husbands

You have GOT to be joking.  The amount of skinny western women I see around here is astounding compared to any of their home countries. 

I think you're mixing in the wrong circles.  Try going to a BAR rather than your local session of weight watchers and you might have more luck.   :

I absolutely agree with you.  For example, there are 21 kids in my sons class, and every one of the mothers is in really good shape, and I would guess that every one of us is over 35.  I find this amazing, especially considering how often we all hear that old "fat expat" cliche.  About half are working mothers, and half stay at home mothers, makes no difference. 

I am always seeing super fit expat women here in Singapore, I truly think the 'fat expat' is a minority.

I am a petite 56 year old expat woman who honestly would put the locals and expats to shame.  Still getting the young hot guys drooling after me although not really interested as I have a gorgeous husband who absolutely adores me .. sigh .. can life get any better ..

Exactly ! The fat expat ratio is very high in those areas

and not just the women either.  The guys around here are living in a dream world if they think it's only expat women who are fat (and that goes for local guys too, plenty of porky middle aged Singaporean men around - it's all that Guinness and Carlsberg!)

A lot of the expat women I've met don't have a job outside the home and when their kids are in school all day they become gym and tennis rats because they have the time. No fat on those women. Fat men and women exist in much higher quantities back in their home Western countries - every time I visit family in my home country I'm amazed at the sheer number of obese people I see daily. I tend to see more expat men here who are on the fatter end of the spectrum than women, but that's not to say there aren't some overly large expat women here too.
