10 things I don't like seeing maids doing

i am a bit puzzled why you need a maid when your wife/partner is not working.

Most people say it's the babysitting but I know people who have maids and rarely use them for babysitting as they're too paranoid, which I always think is a bit weird (to have someone in your house that you don't trust!).  I also know people who have a maid and the maid is so bored she invents things to do half the day!


I think it'd be a good idea if maids could be hired out through an agency where they live in one place (like university halls of residence) and you book them out for babysitting or housework and they only come over for a few hours each day or whenever you need them and they don't have to live in - I reckon that would be one way of solving some of the problems we hear about all the time -  bored maids with not enough work, being starved by the employer, bringing guys home, not getting a day off etc etc. 

The only trouble is that I just know they'd end up being overworked by the agency, getting no day off given, sleeping 4 to a room when they were supposed to have a room each and all that kind of unscrupulous maid agency stuff - it'd have to be well 'policed' by the inspectors from the MOM or whoever to make it work.

Well..I am actually someone that learns LIVES without a maid is the better thing!

I had one that I treat like a family member...sit on my sofa (she as so naughty that whth feets on!), choose food that she likes, use her mobile all the times, go out at night EVERY day... I gave her everything... like a real friend...but for discover after 1 1/2 year she was stealing and lying all the time!!!!!

Now I dont wanna anymore..report and finish!
Maids for me are not trusthful...

I have in my circle maid that hit my friends daughter, send the kids of other friend to clean the house!!! They are at the most LAZY..and I muss say WHO DEFEND never had a bad case...Wait till this happens in your house and then ou go understand!

Things that I DONT like seeing maid doing:
1- full time in the telephone
2-say that go to do something outside and stay hours chating with the other maids
3-STEAL! My steal EVERYTHING possible..watch, money , telephone, my EYE make up, condensmilk..But I was sooo stupid!
4-go to playground with kids and let them at the trolley instead let him play...cause she is so lazy to run behind(I SAW THIS ALREADY)
5- be nice with the kid in front of the mother and behing hit !
6- form this MAFIA at condos..they just speak VERY bad about theirs bosses
7-dont try to be BETTER then nobody...cause..IF THEY ARE BETTER, they are not maids, but someone with better situation!!!

Yes, I was really betrayed for someone that I trust blind...she wake up me for the life...yes, because if I have one maid again(i dont think so), I will treat her like a MAID and not a friend...MOM says tons how we should treat a maid...but nobody says HER how to treat us...and have nobody or law that protect the boss..One of the maids from my friends, try to hit her...she closed the door, till the maid call down...cause, if she react, the law will send my friend to police..and not the maid..other hit herself...They ARE CRAZY! When I see someone treat a maid like the topics above say...I DONT JUDGE ANYMORE..before I didnt find nice..now I find ok...is CORRECT...if you give some open..they will abuse!

You might learn to live without a maid but you certainly should hire a teacher to study English with.

There is a show on the National Geography channel " Every Singaporean Son" or something similar. Try to watch it, it is embarassing. These guys are such weak softies.

Respect is something that needs to be earned. Are you asking us to respect a whimpy wannabe soldier who expects the maid to carry his crap? Expats are here to help your economy thrive, your poor work ethics, long lunches and general lack of common sense don't deserve any respect.

Simmering sour grapes may need outlets to fester, some egos need an outlet to prove themselves, or something nastier may actually happen inside real bodies.

Perhaps part of the reason is reality hits -  hard - once some nasty feet hit homeland shores.
Despite bringing home all the $$$ earned in SG/Asia, life may not seem that glam back home afterall. Worse, if half the whole home city is now invaded by rich Asian aliens walking out of their 6 million dollar homes into their Porsche SUVs. All clad in designer duds, and cheap shoes, and in dire need of dental makeovers of course.
