I just noticed Star Sports has shut down on Starhub.

Does this mean Singtel has stolen the F1 coverage as well? Is it being shown on any of the starhub channels?

I really dont want to have to get one of those crappy mio boxes.

I see the barriers are going up in the city centre.
What dates for the F1 Grand Prix? How about tickets?

They have a website with ticket info on.

It's on 24, 25 and 26 of September.

Hi OP, we also just noticed last night when trying to watch F1 qualifying. Nothing on Starhub!  Angry All the Starsports and ESPN channels have dissapeared! We also don't want to get another crappy boxes and tied-up with another contract with SingTel Mio (minimum 12 months and we might move out of Singapore in a few months!). Very dissapointed. One of the main reason we have cable TV is to watch live sports.

We're going to have to go down to a pub or something to catch the race live.

Yep, that's the situation.  EPL, Euro Championship, F1 all gone to Singtel Mio.  It really irked me, but we succumbed and have got the mio box.  Quality is nowhere near as good as Starhub, although that did improve after Singtel finally gave us the proper cables to connect the box to the TV (the cheap ones they gave us originally gave a terrible picture when watching HD).  Also we have tried to record matches played overnight and just get a blank screen - although sometimes it does work, which is very frustrating.

So now we have 2 set top boxes, two modems, FOUR remote controls (five if you include the hi-fi)

Where was MDA when all this was being agreed?  Huh
