Apart from Sentosa I reckon you'd be OK anywhere, but don't go to Pasir Ris beach, it keeps getting declared unsafe for swimming (cracked sewage pipes or something).  Also, bear in mind that the sea can be a bit rough off the East Coast.

A lot of dogs are seen swimming off Tanjong beach on Sentosa. However, officially they should be kept on a leash.

Beware of this old scam. I think this is typically done by Indians possibly of Sikh faith who will see a local or expat with an unleashed dog running on the beach and pretend to be frightened by it. They will do something like run and fall over and drop some old phone in the sea. Once that happens they get security or the police involved and the dog owner is forced to pay hundreds of dollars to replace the phone (probably worth about $10). You may laugh, but it has happened to a lot of people. The dog owner pays up as he fears legal action or even arrest and having to deal with the matter at the station, as legally dogs aren't allowed to run around unleasshed in Singapore.

But it is still the only designated beach dogs are supposed to be allowed. At least it is away from everywhere else, especially now the dolphins have gone nobody else goes there.

Probably to the new resort world aquarium thingie - sea world or whatever it's going to be called.  I wish they'd just set them free though.

OP, there is a place at Turf City called K9 Kulture which is a really nice dog day-care facility, and they have 2 pools for the dogs to swim in, and on weekend afternoons they are open for the public to take their dogs to. It costs about $12 to use the pool. They also have a cafe that has reasonable food and drinks, and the dogs have a large space to run around in. It is a fab place, we go there most weekends with our dog.

By the way, well done for rescuing your dog, wish there were more people like you, instead of those who buy pedigrees from pet shops/puppy mills.

Can you just turn up there with your hound to use the pool? From the website it sounds like you have to register your dog first ($30)...or is that just for daycare?
