where we can get affordable dental braces in SG? How much do I have to be prepared to pay for the treatment in avarage? recommendation on a good othrodentist is appreciated. do you know how much we need to pay for the first consultation as we do not expect to choose the first dentist we see? can we get a first consultation free of charge? thanks

Hi I did my braces with a fabulous and little known NTUC orthodontist in Toa Payoh. 2 years of braces total bill 5000 dollars. I am totally happy with the results.

We went to NUH dental clinic. Total cost was about $5000 but it all depends how much work your teeth need.

Hi, thanks, and what is the name of your orthodentist?

I am currently finishing up treatment at NUH as well. I had ceramic, self-ligating braces on top and bottom. The price for regular metal is less.
The initial consultation was not free, but it wasn't expensive...less than $30.
The treatment cost is broken down as follows:
Initial payment when braces are placed: $1400
Payment at each adjustment: $100 (based on 22 visits)
Final payment: $900
Total cost: $4500 (not including tax)
Fortunately for me, my treatment was not that complicated and I will have had 15 adjustments before my braces come off. If treatment extends beyond 22 visits, your cost will go up. It's a bit of a gamble doing it this way.
I am very happy with my ortho, btw.

YN, I am afraid if I give her name the post will be deleted, but if you look up NTUC dental in the phone book the Toa Payoh branch will be listed. Call them up and ask for an appointment with the ortho she is the only one there. Good Luck!
