Can anyone please suggest a good eye doctor? Thanks

Assuming you want a doctor rather than an optician, try booking directly at Singapore General Hospital or National University Hospital.  You don't need a GP reference.  The latter (NUH) can be booked online. 

This avoids unnecessary surgery etc. for profit motive and you get to see a good doctor.

I recommend Dr.Jerry Tan at Camden Medical Centre. Incredibly nice, thourough and trustworthy. He did eye surgery on me and fitted contacts for my husband.

Dr Tan performed eye surgery on my wife, and we can attest that he is very professional, and a really nice and caring guy.

He's not cheap, mind you, but this is Camden Medical center...

 take my 5 year old to Dr pauline Cheong at Gleneagles...
am very satisfied...
but these are just regular checkups as my daughter is astigmatic...
