Hi
We are due to move to Singapore within the next few months from the UK.  We will be coming with our little girl who is nearly 8months and I am keen to now what mum/baby groups and activities you would recommend. I would love to meet new people and make friends for my daughter too.

Can anyone recommend anything???

Thanks

St George's Mother and Toddler Group (minden road) is a great way to meet people and make friends.  Some of the groups can get a bit full so best to contact them and put your name down for registration (which is usually once a month).  More details can be found on the Church webpage.  We had a blast going there and made a lot of long lasting friends.
Good luck, you'll have a great time here

There are many options in Singapore. Check out the New mothers' support group. There are also many classes available for baby gym, gymboree, kindermusik, baby swimming etc, you will make new friends for you and your baby in no time.

Ah yes, my wife deposited our toddler daughter there for a while to take communion.  She returned to find our daughter wandering amongst the cars having walked out of the room and past numerous people.

In my understanding St Georges is a mum and baby group, there are no caregivers there, so if a mum walks out without her toddler there is nobody looking after...

Hey,
I also have a 8 month daughter. I'm in the East Coast Area - do you know where you're going to be based yet? Give us a shout if you fancy meeting up with the bubs (email: offdownunder@yahoo.co.uk) or if you need any general advice.
