Hi, my annual check review yesterday threw up that i had small lumps in the breast suggestive of fibroadenomas. im 38 yrs and have a 2 yr boy that i breastfed for a year.

Im bit afraid with these results and am seeking a second opinion of a breast surgeon. Anyone has any good recommendations of a good surgeon for diagnostic purposes? im told i have to physically check the breasts once a month for change of size of the lumps but even now i can barely feel them let alone monitor their specs.

Any recommendations would be so welcome. thanks

I had an abnormal fibroaedonoma removed a couple of years ago, and I understand exactly how terrifying this process is.

I went to see a wonderful doctor called S C Low at Gleneagles. He and his team were calm, fast and very good at giving me factual information. He also has a really wonderful bedside manner. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Try not to worry (I know you will anyway) but if it looks like a fibroid, then it is most likely a fibroid. Dr Low will put you at ease very quickly and tell you exactly what you need to do. Good luck.

I second SC Low.  He is fabulous.  Very caring and was able to reassure me when I faced a similar issue. I get regular check ups with him and no issues 8 years on.

You will be in safe hands if you go an see him

Out of all the Breast Specialists I have seen in the UK, Australia and Singapore, he is by far the best and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

It might be agood idea to have your estrogen and progesterone levels tested, just to see whether there is a relative estrogen dominance. This is very often a cause for fibroids, whether in the breasts or abdomen. Bioidentical progesterone cream can really help, as well as stress reduction (stress hormone competes with progesterone) and reducing estrogen sources like dairy, hormone laced meats and plastics which leach xenoestrogens. I recommend Dr. Melanie Phuah of Nutramed who is great for hormonal issues.

There is a procedure where lumps can be removed with only a small incision. Google  Mammatome. You walk in, have the procedure and walk out again in an hour or so. I've had this done several times here.

Hi everyone!

I made an ultrasound and it was found a seal 4 sq sm. The doctor who made the ultrasound said it MAY be a fibroadenoma. So i'm going to see the Breast doctor next week here in KL, but i'm quite concerned about the doctors here. So i'm thinking of going to Singapore for a consultation.  Does anyone know S C Low is still working in Glenaegles? Cause google says he is in Thomson Woman Cancer center.

Did anyone remove fibroadenoma with this doctor? Was he good? I have just removed some moles and the stitches don't look good, i'm afraid i will have very obvious scars(  Sad So i don't want to have scars on my breast((

P.S. Happy New Year!
