Hi. Out of curiosity, for a Muslim to marry under Civil Law, does he/she need to declare non-Muslim?
   

No idea what the moron above was talking about... Here's an answer though:

A Muslim in Singapore is strongly discouraged from marrying under civil law, but they are able to. The Muslim Association get their undies in a bunch over it, sending out letters and calling people in for meetings etc, but there is nothing they can do. Singapore is not a Muslim country and civil law trumps (any) religious law.
