I'm bored with the same old same old. I don't want to cook a turkey or ham. I'm not real into a beef. I'm curious what everyone else is doing?

We love turkey in our house so it will be the full-on roastie with pigs in blankets, roast spuds and all the trimmings.
But why not try a goose or duck if you want something different. The Holland V/Swiss butchers might be able to help you out with goose (and most supermarkets have duck), or there's always lamb.
You could even go for ostrich!
We had pheasant one year but didn't enjoy it (I think I overcooked it!) so it was back to turkey after that.

There nothing quite like a good piece of roast lamb.
Or you could go Aussie style and throw a few shrimps on the barbie. Or even lobster..

The other meat wholesaler on the east coast was offering one of those multi birds - you know the sparrow in a chicken in a duck in a turkey in an emu in a dodo etc etc about 4 different birds, I think. All ready and done for you. Might be something different.

Turducken? Turkey, chicken, duck........something along those lines do you mean (not sure what the 4th one would be)? It's an old recipe - it seems a bit too much for the average family to have at home unless they had lots of guests, but if I was ever in a hotel and they had it on the buffet I'd have a try.

LOL, the Hairy Bikers are a couple of Geordie blokes who go around on their bikes and visit various places and then cook.
