I am looking, ever more desperately, for Claussen's pickles here in Singapore.  They are refrigerated and crunchy and tasty and not too salty and, to my taste, once you've had them you will never want to go back to the usual Mount Olive or other type dills (that can be stored unrefrigerated).  These are also known as "deli style" too, I think.

I bought them once years ago at Jason's, I think, but checked recently and they weren't there and the management had never heard of them.

Any leads gratefully accepted.  Thanks

For American brands like Claussen's, it's best to try the Jason's branches at Orchard Towers and Tanglin Mall. The Cold Storage at Causeway Point is also sometimes a good bet. One thing I've learned here, however, is when you see something you think you'll want later, buy it now because it very likely won't be in stock when you go back.

Claussen's is distributed by Kraft Foods. You might want to try contacting Kraft Foods Trading Singapore Pte Ltd and see if they can tell you where this product might be stocked.

Thanks, I did look at both of those outlets of Jasons.

I'll keep looking and maybe check with Kraft also.

How about DIY? I've found recipes for Claussen's/deli-style pickles and they are very easy. I haven't tried though, just haven't gotten around to it. I have tried some quick pickle recipes for sliced cukes and they are pretty good - i imagine a proper pickle marinade of small cukes would work well. If any it'll be far better than the other alternatives Tongue

Not a bad idea. Especially since the one thing that separates Claussen's from other pickles is that they're not cooked, so making them should be pretty straightforward.

I would certainly give it a try.
