My condo was sold en-block and I will have to move out. Neighbors give it anything from minimal 3-6 months before I need to move, anybody experience if that is realistic? I like to stay as long as possible :-)

Unless there is an 'en-bloc' clause in your tenancy agreement, I don't think you can be made to leave before the end of your current lease

As for how long, it could be ages.  Leedon Heights was sold enbloc in 2007, and there are still people living there on short term leases

It all depends on the developer - because even if the ownership of the apts transition to them, the redevelopment may not proceed right away, and they would lease out the place like at Leedon Heights. But if they may not wish to have to maintain the property for a small pool of residents, so sometimes property are left vacant or just used as workers residences for their other properties under construction.

Check on the black board when it was sold.

It takes 3 month to legaly complete the announced sale.

After the legal sale the landlord has up to 6 month to deliver the vacant unit. He usually will keep renting it out till the last day as he usually has already received 90-95% of the sales proceeds.

Best way - ask your LL Smiley.
