Wow!  You are?  I just can't wait!  I'll be on pins and needles dreaming of your impending arrival from the States.  There are so few western guys here, and even fewer Americans (the best of the lot, everyone agrees).  I hope we get the chance to meet before you are swarmed with cool, bright, single Western women.

This thread is hilarious. Can tell from the posts why some of the sad people here are still single after years in Singapore. And why some guys have their wives run off on them and have no choice but try for Asian girls!

On a more positive note, any sports facilities recommended in particular that are also good for meeting expat ladies (20s-30s)?

Also, recommendations for sports facilities for taking classes in tennis?

Or learning cricket?

(I read some posts that covered horse riding, and possibly a couple other sports I'm interested in getting better on, so why not see if this thread can steer in a more positive direction.)

More of an issue here but they just cover it up, unlike other countries. Human trafficking an issue here too.

Boo hoo, why does that hot girl ignore a smart guy like me? And go for that good looking but brainless guy? Can't they tell I'm a much better catch? Nevermind that I'm fugly, dressed like a nerd, have no social skills or any idea how to talk to a woman and thinks the whole world should revolve around me. I don't have to change a single bit of myself, the whole world should change itself to suit me.

Now you know why I go for the prostitutes. That's the only way I can get any kind of attention - by paying for it.

Oh wait, I'm not finished.

All the girls should be crazy about me just the way I am. There's no need to create a good first impression. Why make the effort? I'm honest and I'm showing them the worst I can be, bad haircut, freebie computer fair t-shirt and all. Women will just have to like me no matter how geeky and fugly I look. If not, what they are attracted to is a lie. Everybody is supposed to change their preferences just for me.

Why live in reality? Living in denial is much more fun because the whole world will revolve around ME ME ME.

Loser, try blind girls.

Dude has a point about being upfront honest about who he really is, at least.

Bring a sophisticated package home, only to realize in horror the wonderboy leaves toenail cuttings in a pile in the living room, and flips his snot around, in bed. And uses designer cologne because he showers only every other day.  Grin

Right, girls have to look good in order for you to be attracted to them. But there's no need to look good for girls to be attracted to you. Reality applies to everyone else except you.

You should go out rather than read through this tiring thread.

The world is full of single people, not just Singapore.

Hi there,Not an expat.I was born and breed in Singapore.
Is Singapore a place for Single? Why not, all you have to do is get into the social scene like pubs/clubs depending on your age and interest in certain type of music.I have gone on dates just by meeting people randomly along these places.Still single and still trying to hitch the right one but there is hope Cheesy
