  Hi, I love salmon but it always leaves a strong, lingering odour in the kitchen and my pans no matter how many times I rinse them with soap and water. Is there any way to reduce the smell?

My wife boils some lemon peel.  Seems to work.

I always soak my salmon in milk before I cook.  It seems to reduce the smell considerably

same as with any general lingering frying smell.

if in oven .... wiping down with lemon juice + baking powder mix.

salmon smell can be rid off by burning a cluster of fragrant candles on the stove, or somewhere nearby on a counter, right after. i have a bunch of assorted candles right on my stove top, in vented stainless steel containers (Ikea) - always ready for this purpose. the aromatherapy is good for the zen soul too.

and while cooking -  definitely keep some kind of airflow/counter airflow circulation through and out of the house.

I think you mean baking soda...as in bicarbonate of soda. Unless you're making a lemon tart to mask the smell?

Removing odors from the air
1. Combine 2 cups (16 fl oz/500 ml) water, 1 cup (8 fl oz/250 ml) vinegar and 1 tsp. whole cloves in a shallow, wide pan.

2. Simmer uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes.

3. Repeat later if needed.

I have the skin removed, and bake the salmon wrapped in foil, with lemon juice. The skin seems to cause the most smell.

you could make salmon sashimi - no lingering cooking smells...
