oh come on, its ridden with crime, break ins and robberies are commonplace. The stories are not hyped up.  You dont even get to hear them all.  Do you think a skinny little indonesian guard cares if someone gets robbed.

Yes, the rate of change is glacial and hardly discernible. I say this is a good thing; let it gather momentum slowly but surely.

The smart money "sees" these things, moves in, makes a killing and then moves out, all before the small-time wannabes rush in for the spoils.

You are all looking at the wrong place. The real value in Malaysian real estate is in land suitable for farming: rubber, palm oil, vegetables, and fruits. Not the stupid semi-Ds or bungalows, whose value is manufactured.
