Hi

My husband and I are in our mid 30s and  have been in Singapore for the last two months.  We are very sociable people living by the East Coast Park.  If there is any like minded people around that want to meet for drinks, food (I was going to say fun but then this totally sounds like a dating or swingers advert which I can assure you we are not!) But anyway if your up for a laugh and in the same situation as us of not knowing anyone then please get in touch.

Hi all,

Wow, I'm impressed by the quantity of people setting up around ECP!
For our case, we're still in the process of setting up, but will be on the North-East line, in Punggol.

We're also in our 30's, French-Chinese married couple, and know almost no one here...

Right now, it's only me here, in a hotel. My wife and daughter will join me when we'll have an apartment.

Anyway, I would be happy to meet people around!

You guys may like to consider one of the expat associations as they all have social events for members. They are open to all nationalities (although for most associations at least 51% of the membership total must be reserved for the passport holders of the association's name eg. British Association, American Association, Australian & New Zealand Association (ANZA), Scandinavian, Korean, Japanese etc. etc.

Although my spouse and I are British, we joined 'ANZA' and have had some really fun times at their events and met many other couples and singles. They have some good ones coming up eg. this weekend it's the AFL Grand Final Party, 1st Nov is the Melbourne Cup Lunch Party event (always good for a laugh even if you have no interest in horse racing), next March a "Viva Las Vegas Ball".....oh, and a weekly couples Bridge get-together or maybe tennis is more appealing?

There are similar 'couples' type events for the other associations too. I can't post links here but just go to a search engine and type in ".........association, Singapore" and you can find out more info and how to join if interested.

Hope this helps  Smiley
