Elimnate gluten and dairy and you'll drop pounds easily. Make sure you get lots of veggies, some good proteins and fruit, nuts and seeds, and drink lots of water. No sugar and alcohol. Easy peasy:-)

Wow.  The number of pounds potentially lost on this diet is way out of proportion with the horror life would be whilst on it.  No thanks!

No disrespect to poster but I simply haven't got the discipline to eat like that - I live to eat, not eat to live!

The weight has stealthily crept on as I have got older, and what works for meto keep the poundage at bay is a slow to mid-paced 5K three times a week.  It fills you with endorphins, brushes away the cobwebs and tones the thighs!

I'm quite tempted by bikram yoga though.

Hi all I also used the drops, previously mention and lost between 1-2 lb a day but I only did it for 18 days as I just wanted to lose a stone, a little bit more than needed but the best part is I have kept of more than ¾ stone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s over 7 months!!!!

the waterfall diet.  Weight might be due to water retention.  Get the book as it is available from the local libraries.

Speaking of weight, the best thing you fatties can do, is pick up your bathroom scales and toss it out of the window. (Make sure the window is open and also that you're not living in a high floor condo.)

LOL to above post!

To OP what do you drink? Alcohol, diet coke, sports drinks?
I would check out your drinking, eating habits and way of life at home/office
Do you sleep in the afternoons? Sleeping for 4 hours at a time causes weight gain.
Do you sit at a desk for hours? Sitting for long periods also causes weight gain
When do you eat fruit?

Leave out dressing in salads, can have lots of calories. In a restaurant ask for it on the side so you can add how much you need.

Walk on a daily basis 20mins is enough everyday or at least 5 days a week

This HCG diet recommends that you take the drops but only eat a 500 cal per day low fat diet.  Surely you'd lose weight eating that with or without drops.

To those who've done this - did you stick to this 500 cal per day eating plan as well as taking the drops?

I visited a gym and used one of those exercise bicycles which indicated the number of calories you burn riding.
Beer (pint) is 205 calls and one-half bottle of wine 255 calls etc.
Over 30 minutes peddling the calorie count was about 500 calls, which does give one the incentive to keep peddling.  Cool

I've just started doing "body for Life"  I did a LOT of reading and got advice from people who know what they're doing (my good looking fit gay friends),
long slow cardio is a waste of your time. You need to do interval training and High impact weight training to speed up your metabolism.
Then the 80% is nutrition, portion control is the main thing.

Before I picked the diet I've been working with Judith Beck's book "The beck diet solution" which uses Cognitive Therapy to help you with goal setting and sticking to your goals.
she says any diet and fitness program will help as long as you get your mind right.  The first 2 weeks isn't actually a diet, but looking at your behavior and attitude around food.  It was an eye opener.
It can be a little patronizing, but it was what I needed to stop my self destructive behavior.

I'm down 2 kg with 8 to go...

Other things I've researched which look promising are "Turbulence Training" and "eat stop eat" the first is an exercise system and the second recommends intermittent fasting (a day a week).

Good luck.  Train the mind and the rest will follow.

I am doing the Australian body trim diet and it is working well. After the first week with the  3 day carb detox I lost 4 kilos.

The main culprits in diets are sugar and flour.  Look at the ingredients on packaged foods they almost all have unnecessary added sugar. Sugar causes carb cravings and raised insulin levels.  One of the best things you can do is cook your own food from scratch.  Also to raise your metabolism eat 6 small protein meals a day, it really keeps you feeling full.
