Author Topic: Anyone used dollarDEX?  (Read 1115 times)

I'm considering using dollarDEX to purchase some unit trust funds and would be interested in hearing the opinions of anyone who has used them.

BTW, I'm aware of the difference between this type of 'execution only' service and the (supposed) 'full service' that a bank might claim to offer.  But since I'll been doing the fund research myself, I'd rather have 0.75% or 1.20% (depending on the investment amount) initial unit charges deducted than the 5% my bank wants to charge me in return for a cup of coffee and their 'unbiased' advice.  I also looked at FundSupermarket, but they introduced an additional 'platform fee' a while back, making them less attractive to dollarDEX, on paper at least.

So my question is really along the lines of whether people have found dollarDEX to be reliable, efficient, etc.  And just in case anyone thinks this is an attempt to promote dollarDEX in some way, let me assure you that this is a genuine request for other people's opinions from a personal investor.

Many thanks for any feedback.

I use them and have had no problems.  I pick my funds and I pay my money.

They were recommended to me by a local.

Thanks, that's good to know.

Do either of you who have been kind enough to reply hold any USD funds via dollarDEX by any chance?  I'm just curious as to whether they allow you to actually open a USD account, or whether everything gets converted via SGD along the way.  I couldn't find any details on their website about this, hence my question here.
