Got Wood?

Next month sees our 5th Wedding Anniversary - and I see the traditional gift should be 'wood'.

Apart from a nice photo frame or a music box, any ideas as to what I should get the love of my life?

All ideas, greatly accepted.

back home I am planning to invite my better half for a hot air balloon ride with picnic basket including champagne, not sure if that is possible here in Sg since its such a tiny, restricted place.

...the first reply ignored your comments about "wood".  How about one of those comfortable wooden recliner/lounger chairs with the leather padded seat/back for lazing back and reading on?

Or a bonsai tree?

Sorry, not sure if we are talking about a male or female however for the latter how about a rosewood jewelry box or for a male a cufflink box.  There are lovely timber framed mirrors available or chess sets.

I've no idea what a "wannabe pointy head" actually is, but I do know that you're a sad and bitter loser

Explain it then?  Or, lemme guess, you read it somewhere and fancied using the term? You're very lonely, aren't you?

Skip the wood and go straight for jewelry if you're the husband asking.

I have got a grand idea! Make use of the National Day's display of fireworks over at the padang!

Just book a restaurant with a great view somewhere along One Fullerton (like maybee Forlino? a fine dining italian restaurant that is chic and sleek!)

But you gotta book for the restaurants very early cos I bet all restaurants along that stretch will be fully booked on national day..

Well, if she likes fitness maybe there's a new exercise machine as wedding anniversary gift she might like? Or how about a membership or gift certificate to a health spa?

Another idea is a ring with an inlay of wood, If you google "wooden inlay wedding rings" there are a ton that come up.

For our fifth anniversary me and my other half are planning a nice trip together.

Or you could always break down and ask her. Something like " Honey, I want to make this anniversary really special. Is there anything in particular you would like?" Personally I always appreciate being asked questions like that and maybe she has a really good idea.
