Wondering if anyone could tell me if €11000 a month, gross, for a senior managment position is a good salary in Munich. Would need to cover rent, car, schooling (int) etc. Would u move for that?

You need to give out more info. Salary now, family size etc.

Generally, €11000 is good but certainly not excessive for a senior management position in Munich. Company car is usually included in a package as well, make sure you get that.

Thank you International Teacher for the tip on the German Forum.

Thank you Adolf and Mortal, I gathered it wasn't a great figure thus the post. There will be a car but still not happy. I'm worried about rent and schooling. She is only 2 at the moment but in a year she would go into kinder and we want it to be the international school.

Life much better off here, me thinks.

I live in Munich. I imagine you can live very comfortably on that salary. We live quite well on far less. But we don't have school age children!

The OP decided to spread the search wider and seek the input of fellow expats rather than blindly searching the internet. Sounds quite intelligent to me, whereas you come across as a bitter, unhelpful troll. In the immortal words of The Donald ....

So I am German and live now in North America. I don't find anything wrong with asking this forum, there may be people who know from experience and can maybe suggest local ***. It's a good start.

5 years ago when working in Frankfurt, I used to make 5k EUR before taxes. If you want to live in a nice area in an expensive city like Munich, this does not take you very far after taxes.
Have a look at immobilienscout24.de to get a feel for real estate prices.
I assume the 11k are gross? Don't forget that you will be taxed on the company car, so that benefit comes at a price.
I have a friend who used to teach at an international school in Munich (not sure if there are more than one) - so yes, those fees can be substantial.
Most families live on a lot less of what you are offered and are doing ok, I would still think you should be getting more for a senior management position.
My suggestion is: Find out what your after tax salary would be, find out where you would like to live and how much that would cost you, what the school charges etc.
Good luck!
