Is it true that the new regulations for black and white accommodation stipulate that there will be no repairs, painting, fixing up, done? Was looking to move but not so sure if we have to pay for the whole thing ourselves going forward.

(How much does it cost to spray coat a bathroom these days, by the way?)

From a friend who recently took a B and W, that is true. She said the website has a link to the sample tenancy agreement. Basically, they are supposedly trying to align themselves with the private sector both in terms of price and maintenance issues.  But I think they may be taking it too far since I don't think they have a clause about "maintenance cost above SGDXXX will be borne by Landlord" or something similar.

Well we spent a lot on renovating bathrooms and decorating before we moved in, only to be told by the neighbours, shortly afterwards, that all the black and whites from our area are being taken back for redevelopment and everyone will have to move out. So now we are looking for somewhere else and will have to pay all over again.

Paying Up - can I ask which area you live in? We live in Medway Park and I had heard that there was a redevelopment plan to be implemented for the estate from the end of December.
