EP got rejected, agency is applying for an S Pass

Hi

I have been offered a job from a media company startup based in Australia for setting up their office in Singapore.
I have 5.5 years of work experience with almost 4 years in the relevant field (as per the EP form). I have been offered SG$7+ salary so I qualify for P2 visa as per MOM.
The Visa agency that I have hired to process my visa has told me that since my employer is new in SG its better to file the application manually rather than online. Also, they are saying that the chances are low since its a new company.
Can you guys please share your experience in similar cases, if any?

I would have to guess and agree with a poster above and say salary. 2800 is the absolute minimum for an EP and as it says on your contract deductions they may take this as below 2800.

I know there has been a lot of talk about employers bringing people in on 2800 on their EP applications and then the employee returning a certain amount to the employer - this may be an urban myth but its one rife among many indignant Singaporeans who do not want any foreign talent.

As for Thailand and Thai degree's if your is on the list then do not worry - My company has brought Thai people here from Thai Universities with no problem.

The industry is media and is a new setup in Singapore and Australia. I have been offered salary of $7+ and have almost 4 years of relevant experience. (total 6 years). Initially I would be the only perosn in their office.

  I got rejected last thrusday. I have a post graduate diploma from NUS and bachelor degree from my country. The company offer me with 2800/month. Company is from Austrialia and open in singapore branch just one year ago. They don't have foreigner so don't know how to apply. They hand over the application to agent. But MOM ask me to give them bachelor degree with original language twice although i was given to company. After they resubmit again, then i got rejected.
Do anyone think why it is? I found that Application No - A250911xxxxx and Application Date - 02/09/2011 is different. All of my friend who EP is approved their application no and date are same.
