Hi, I am brand new to Singapore having moved here with my job from London.  I am keen on meeting new people and making new friends.  Any tips in how to break into friendships in Singapore would be great. Thanks

Hello & Welcome to paradise island ! There are community centres where you can join classes and get to know a lot of local people or if you are looking for expat friends, join the various expat clubs -amclub, and for yourself perhaps the british club.  There are also a number of the usual expat activities; such as dragon boating, rugby, football, watersports on east coast etc for the sports minded.  Most of my friends are local people.
